This collection describes the probability distributions associated with the rates of change (mm/yr) different workflows used to project relative sea level change. Attached data sets correspond to different workflows, which are distinguished by the modeling choices applied to the ice sheet and glacier components.
wf1e: Emulated ISMIP6 projections for ice sheets and emulated GlacierMIP projections for glaciers. (Should not be used for rates)
;
wf1f: Parametric fits to ISMIP6 projections for Greenland, IPCC AR5 parametric model for Antarctica, recalibrated IPCC AR5 parametric glacier model for glaciers;
wf2e: Emulated ISMIP6 projections for Greenland, LARMIP2 emulator for Antarctica, emulated GlacierMIP projections for glaciers. (Should not be used for rates)
;
wf2f: Parametric fits to ISMIP6 projections for Greenland, LARMIP2 emulator for Antarctica, recalibrated IPCC AR5 parametric glacier model for glaciers;
wf3e: Emulated ISMIP6 projections for Greenland, DeConto et al. (2021) for Antarctica, emulated GlacierMIP projections for glaciers. (Should not be used for rates)
;
wf3f: Parametric fits to ISMIP6 projections for Greenland, DeConto et al. (2021) for Antarctica, recalibrated IPCC AR5 parametric glacier model for glaciers;
wf4: Bamber et al. (2019) for ice sheets, recalibrated IPCC AR5 parametric glacier model for glaciers.
Each data set contains zip files correspond to different emissions and warming level scenarios. Each zip file contains NetCDF files correspond to different contributing processes (e.g., Antarctica, Greenland, glaciers, land water storage, ocean dynamics, vertical land motion) and total relative sea level, with the process indicated by the file name.
Each NetCDF file contains the following variables:
locations: an index of location IDs
;
lat: the latitude for each location
;
lon: the longitude of each location
;
years: projection year
;
quantiles: quantile of projection
;
sea_level_change_rate (indexed by quantiles, years and locations): quantiles values of sea level change rate contribution in mm/yr, relative to a year 2005 (1995-2014 average) baseline.
