HDF5 files containing impulse and responses for a series of force hammer impacts on the ice surface in locations around each acoustic array. Each hammer impact location has a unique location ID. These locations are divided into 3 circles centered around each array. Locations A1-A8 are in a 3.05m radius around the microphone array, locations B1-B8 are in a 3.05m radius circle around the hydrophone array, location C1-C8 are in a 7.62m radius circle around the hydrophone array and locations D and E are in straight lines due southeast and southwest starting at the center of the hydrophone array. Files are named according to the following conventions: ‘LetterNumber.h5’ where the letter indicates which impact location grouping the data is from and the number indicates which location within the group. For example, file B3.h5 contains data from all acoustic sensors (4 microphones, 4 hydrophones and triaxial geophone) while location B3 was being impacted with the force hammer. Note that there are several files with an ‘_2’ after the file name (ex. A5_2.h5). This indicates that this is an additional run at the same location. There are also 5 “random” impact locations between the lines denoted by locations D and E. These are denoted by “Rand#.” Lastly, there are impact locations in which impacts and responses were recorded non-synchronously, meaning the impact hammer and acoustic sensors were connected to different data acquisition systems. The acoustic sensor responses are contained in the file following the typical naming convention, but the hammer impact data is contained in a separate file denoted by the location name and the suffix “_hammer.” For example, file “E1.h5” contains the acoustic sensor responses and file “E1_hammer.h5” contains the impact hammer data. If a given location file is accompanied by a “hammer” file, the responses are asynchronous. If no “hammer” file is present, the data is synchronous, meaning the impact hammer and acoustic sensors were connected to the same data acquisition system.
