Summary
Grib file containing upper air wind fields on model levels related to the 10-km QBOLAM model (operational at the Italian Environment Agency, Rome, Italy). The file contains the following fields, for 48h forecast with a time step of 1h:
- U-velocity (m/s)
- V-velocity (m/s)
- W-velocity (m/s)
Please note that, since the model is hydrostatic and the vertical coordinate is sigma (pressure/surface pressure), the vertical velocity is a diagnostic field. However, it is provided as well.
Please also notice that on DDOM, only 20 levels (sigma between 0.5 to 1), below 4000m amsl, are available.
