The period of permanent measurement was : 1st July - 31 July 2007 The measured parameter is the surface downward sensible heat flux representing the surface between 2 mats (distance = 2754 m), 8 m above ground. The bowen ratio is given too. This daily mean ratio Hs/Le was computed with the fluxes from the Eddy correlation Nordfeld station, very close to receiver. It was necessary (and sufficient) for the Kipp and Zonen "WINLAS" software, in order to get the sensible heat flux. The position of the optical receiver is 48 deg 27.868 N / 7 deg 32.419 E and 48 deg 28.962 N / 7 deg 30.899 E for the transmitter. 2 km North of the village of Meistratzheim, 20 km south_westward of Strasbourg. Between transmitter and receiver, there is crops of maize and harvested cereals on a flat and homogeneous floor. The operation was continuous, with a daily check.
