cops_adlr_dsonde_metpro_d: DLR Falcon dropsonde data; not in COPS region, but upstream in E-TReC campaign region

Summary
In order to study meso- and synoptic scale processes, e.g. upper level potential vorticity streamers and the associated horizontal transport of humidity, extended legs across Western Europe were flown in the frame of the European THORPEX regional campaign (E-TReC), well upstream of the COPS region. Dropsondes were launched only at 2007-07-08 and 2007-07-19. The data of the dropsondes are samples, not averages, with a sampling rate of 2 Hz. Some information on the provided parameters was listed by the data provider in a pdf file, which is available in the entry 'cops_adlr_info_2'.
