HZG coastMap Substrate

Experiment
Summary
The data collection with focus on North Sea contains different parameters describing the composition and structure of the seafloor substrate. This includes parameters characterizing the sediment type like median grain size and mud content as well as organogenic components like Organic Carbon.
The resulting data sets were processed using interpolation techniques, based on point data collected during various campaings and by different institutions.

The following data sets are currently available:

- median grain size (PHI scale),
- mud content (%),
- total organic carbon (TOC) (%)
