SSP1-RCP2.6 scenario simulation of total phosphorus and river runoff over Europe using the Hydrological Discharge model (Hagemann et al. 2020) driven with HydroPy (Stake and Hagemann, 2021) and the global Earth system model GFDL-ESM4 (John et al.2018) atmospheric dataset. Phosphorus concentrations were calculated from the new parameterization based on the land-use types and fertilizer application data in the form of nitrogen amounts from the Land-Use Harmonization 2 (LUH2; Hurtt et al. 2020). The simulation covers the period from 2015 to 2100, with daily frequency output. The model domain has a spatial resolution of 5 arc minutes (approximately 8-9 km), extending longitudinally boundaries from 11W to 69E, and latitudinally from 27N to 72N.
