This experiment contains the monthly global mean all-sky spectrally resolved outgoing longwave radiation (OLR) calculated from observations of the Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI). For the calculations, the IASI level 1c data was used (http://doi.org/10.15770/EUM_SEC_CLM_0014). The spectral OLR is separated into the spectral range directly observed by IASI and the far-infrared (FIR) part inferred using a prediction model developed by Turner et al. (http://doi.org/10.5194/acp-15-6561-2015). These monthly spectra can be used to calculate the global mean all-sky spectral longwave feedback parameter by regressing them against monthly values of near-surface air temperature from publicly availalbe reanalysis datasets.
