Simulation of the climate of the Eemian interglacial at 125000 years before present. Boundary conditions are the same as in the control run (EH4_HOPE_T30-CTL), apart from the concentration of anthropogenic greenhouse gases and orbital parameters: Greenhouse gas concentrations are derived from vostok ice core data: 270 ppmV CO2 (instead of 353), 0.63 ppmV CH4 (instead of 1.72) and 260 ppbV N2O (instead of 310). Orbital parameters have been calculated with the routine of Berger (1978): Eccentricity: 0.04; Obliquity: 23.79; Precession: 127.3 ECHO-G is used as climate model. It is a coupled atmosphere/ocean model (ECHAM4_T30 + HOPE-E_T42er). The simulation was run on a NEC-SX6 (hurrikan). Atmospheric data is stored every 12 hours. Monthly means are available, too. Ocean data is stored every month. Related experiments: - EH4_HOPE_T30-CTL control run (1000 years of simulation) (run c04) - EH4_HOPE_T30-PRI preindustrial control run (ca. 1800 A.D.; run a20) The simulation was performed in the context of the DEKLIM-EEM project. Description
Consistent as the model is (ECHO-G 1.4: ECHAM4 and HOPE) apart from orbit -subroutine (replaced by Stefan Lorenz). Compiled with Fortran90 compiler (version 2.54) and executed on NEC SX-6 (hurrikan.dkrz.de).
