This data set contains the simulation output of the latitude-belt simulations performed with the WRF model described in Schwitalla et al. (2020, GMD): https://doi.org/10.5194/gmd-13-1959-2020. The data are split into tarballs for the CP (convection permitting) and NCP (non-convection permitting) simulation and are further split into 2D fields (surface_xx) and pressure level data (pressure_xx). The surface_xx tarballs contain the most important 2D variables are available every three hours while pressure level data at 10 levels from 1000 hPa to 100 hPa are available every six hours. Each of the tar balls for the CP simulation contains about 10 days of data. The data format for both simulations is NetCDF4.
