This archive contains the model output used for the analyses and plots in the paper: Specht, M.S., Jungclaus, J., Bader, J. (2021) Identifying and Characterizing Subsurface Tropical Instability Waves in the Atlantic Ocean in Simulations and Observations, submitted to JGR Oceans.

All files are subsets of the output of ICON-O experiment ocean_era51h_r2b8_hel20218-ERA. To obtain the subsets stored in this archive, original model output was first interpolated onto a regular 0.1 x 0.1 degree grid using CDO nearest neighbour interpolation. Further, a region from 10S to 10N and 60W to 40E was selected. Single subsets are then produced using CDO to extract single variables and smaller regions. All files cover the time period 2003-02-02 to 2019-12-31.
