This dataset consists of the gridded land area fraction used to estimate DCENT_MLE_v1.0 for each 5° latitude by 5° longitude grid cell of the Earth.
The land area fraction is a derivative product based largely on the OSTIAv2 land mask, but with lakes considered land for areas within the HadISST2 land mask, and was therefore generated using E.U. This dataset is a derivative product based largely on the OSTIAv2 land mask, but with lakes considered land for areas within the HadISST2 land mask, so classifies as having a level 3 data processing level. These source datasets have had extensive quality control.
